General Class Information
How long is my certification valid for?
All American Red Cross certifications are valid for two years from the end of the month in which you took your class. Example, if you took a class on August 2nd, 2020, your certification is valid through August 31st, 2022.
What is Online Blended Learning?
Online blended learning is a method of instruction where the student completes a portion of their class online and a portion of their class with a live instructor. Most classes offered by Do CPR use the online blended learning method.
How quickly will I get my certification?
Do CPR guarantees certifications within 1 business day of your course. We usually get to them much sooner, though.
Is there a dress code for class?
Yes - please wear clothes. Other than that, wear what’s comfortable to you. Your instructor will probably be in jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt.
How long does the skills portion of the course take?
You can plan for your skills session to last approximately 1 hour for the CPR/AED with First Aid and BLS courses and 30 to 45 minutes for the CPR/AED only course.
According to my workplace, I can’t take an online CPR class. Do your classes meet this requirement?
Yes! Because the skills portion of our classes are performed with a live skills instructor all of our certification classes do meet the necessary OSHA requirements. If you want to verify with one of our instructors, feel free to contact us!
Specific Occupation Questions
Which certification do I need for as a childcare provider?
Childcare providers typically need Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid.
Which certification do I need for as a school coach?
Coaches typically need Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED. First Aid is optional.
Which certification do I need as a healthcare provider?
You will almost always need Basic Life Support as a healthcare provider or as a healthcare student. Some occupations, such as CNA’s, need the lay-person CPR/AED program.
